How 10 Everyday People Successfully Replaced Their Full-time Income

by:

After the pandemic, many of us have witnessed the volatile nature of our seemingly “permanent” day jobs. Amid the crisis of downsizing and layoffs, it’s now more important than ever to have multiple income streams to attain financial security.

1. Paint Jobs and Repairs

A production manager at an Auto Body Shop lost their job when the owner closed it without giving employees a heads-up. They filed for unemployment a few months before COVID-19 and realized they had to take matters into their own hands.

“I rented a small warehouse and started offering paint jobs and repairs. The first year, I made more money than my full time that I had previously. I make about 80k a year take home now after expenses, taxes, etc.,” they share.

2. Data Annotation

A person has struck gold with data annotation. They offer their services on freelance platforms, do 35-40 hours of work a week, and earn $20-30/hr. Of course, different projects have different rates, but they’ve been averaging $1000 per week for over two months now. Just take the assessment on the site and wait to get approved.

3. Affiliate Marketing

After getting laid off, one person started affiliate marketing in the gaming niche. “Though it sounds scammy and suspicious, it’s actually not bad, as long as you’re willing to learn and grow with integrity,” they remark. They earn around $70-$190 per day but are hopeful since there are endless possibilities in affiliate marketing.

4. AI Projects and Streaming

Besides affiliate marketing, one member has multiple income channels and only “works” a few hours a day. They do streaming and AI projects for people on freelancing platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork. Though they are just getting used to it and need to work out budgets, taxes, etc., they make between $2500 and $4000 a month.

5. Moonlighting

In one story, someone got laid off during downsizing and decided to go full-time on their project while not quite making back the paycheck. “Crossed my old wage in under a year. Hit a ceiling eventually and went to work on other things. Still, get a check every month.”

6. Doordash

“I’m doing awesome. I quit my job and bought a new super sweet car,” remarks one happy commenter. While looking into other opportunities, they find Doordash to be a better platform than Uber. However, considering your area before working for such companies will help you narrow down your options.

7. Spark Driver

Besides Doordash and Uber, Spark Driver is another promising opportunity for those seeking to make deliveries. Drives on the Spark Driver app can make deliveries and returns for Walmart as well as other prominent retailers.

8. Etsy Shop

For more creative folks, Etsy is a wonderful platform. You can earn passive income by making your designs and selling them on an Etsy shop. The investment isn’t a lot, and depending on your success, you can choose to expand your project into a business.

9. Selling Photographs and Videos

Like Etsy’s creative prospects, you can also delve into selling photographs and videos on countless platforms. You should research which platforms will be more prone to generating revenue by providing pictures in demand, which is a foolproof strategy.

If you have a considerable online following, you can get growing consumer brands on your side. Having a following on social media platforms such as Instagram or TikTok can allow you to post about products or do a feature. If you already have the base, monetizing posts is an easy way to generate revenue.
